Facilities
The Rock Institute provides good facilities for a wide variety of events. These can range from things like exhibitions and galleries to small parties or meetings.
It comprises of a large 'main hall' which measures approximately 50' by 22', or 15.2 metres by 6.7 metres. At one end of the hall there is a stage (15' deep and 14' wide, or 4.5 metres by 4.2 metres) which can be used for anything requiring an audience. The hall has a lot of external windows so has excellent natural lighting.
Toilet facilities are present on the site, including good access for disabled people, along with a functional kitchen. A large car park is provided next to the building, with spaces for upto 20 cars.
Below the main hall is a small private gallery, which is run by the bookings manager, Allan Caswell. He is present a lot of the time so is able to tend to any visitors.
